The Nokia FOCX 474333A.101 is a hot-pluggable module that converts four independent electrical signals into four parallel optical signals and vice versa. It utilizes an 850nm VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) array as the transmitter and a PIN photo detector array for the receiver. The module connects via a single MPO (Multi-fiber Push On) connector and uses multi-mode fiber optic cable to achieve a link distance of up to 300m. It is compliant with the QSFP+ MSA (Multi-Source Agreement) and the IEEE 802.3ba 40GBASE-SR4 standard.
