Technical Description of Outdoor 5G LTE Signal Repeater

The system functions as a Distributed Antenna System (DAS), which is composed of a Master Unit (MU) and one or multiple Remote Units (RUs). The MU interfaces with the Base Transceiver Station (BTS), converts the RF signal to an optical signal, and transmits it over fiber optic cable to the RUs. The RUs convert the optical signal back to RF, amplify it, and broadcast it to the target coverage area. 
  • Signal Transmission: The use of single-mode optical fiber allows for long distances (up to 20 km) with minimal signal loss and high reliability.
  • Digital Processing: The system employs a fully digital and software-configurable platform with digital RF and light processing, including digital predistortion technology to improve power efficiency and signal handling.
  • Automatic Control: Features such as Automatic Gain Control (AGC) and Automatic Level Control (ALC) are included to ensure stable output power, protect the system, and prevent interference with the base station.
  • Monitoring and Management: The system can be managed locally via a USB or RJ45 port with PC software, or remotely through a 4G modem connected to a cloud platform or NMS (Network Management System). This allows for real-time monitoring of alarms (e.g., temperature, power supply, VSWR).
  • Environmental Design: Remote Units are built with an aluminum-alloy casing, typically rated IP65, making them waterproof, dustproof, and suitable for harsh outdoor conditions and efficient heat dissipation.
